2023.11.2, New Frontier Capital signed MOU with National University of Singapore and Prof. Konstantin Novoselov, Nobel Laureate in Physics 2010 for his work on graphene, was the NUS signatory at the signing ceremony at NUS.
NUS, established in 1905, is Singapore’s oldest comprehensive university and is ranked 8th in the world and 1st in Asia in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
In December 2021, NUS started the smart solutions by launching the world’s first laboratory dedicated to the development of functional intelligent materials.
The Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials (I-FIM), led by Nobel laureate Prof. Novoselov, is NUS’ newest Research Center of Excellence (RCE).
Going forward, NFC will continue to provide ongoing support for research into graphene—a new material—and the development of its applications, while also promoting collaboration between Japanese companies and NUS in the fields of cutting-edge technology being researched and developed by NUS.
