Alternus Energy is an independent power producer (IPP) specializing in the European mid-size solar market. It owns and operates a diverse portfolio of solar power plants directly connected to national grids under long-term government feed-in tariffs and PPA agreements with utilities. It has grown by leveraging its network of local developer partners to procure and acquire small- and medium-scale solar power plants, primarily in Europe.
On December 22, 2023, Alternus Energy Group Plc completed its previously announced business combination with Clean Earth Acquisitions Corp (NASDAQ: CLIN), a special purpose acquisition company.
