Kyulux to Mass Produce OLED Materials with Higher Color Purity without the Need for Rare Metals.
Kyulux (Kyulux, Fukuoka City, Japan), a start-up company from Kyushu University, will begin mass production of a new material for next-generation OLED panels in 2025.
Kyulux is characterized by its high color purity and blue light emission efficiency, and does not require rare metals. In addition to reducing the manufacturing cost of displays, it will lead to improved resolution and power saving.
Two major South Korean OLED panel rivals have also invested in the company, and the company is attracting attention, aiming for sales of more than 20 billion yen in the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014.
