New Frontier Capital Management Hong Kong (“NFHK”) has expanded its fund business globally in the form of a joint GP with leading local partners around the world since its inception in 2011.
In recent years, the global fund business has been required to further strengthen the governance of fund management companies including its fiduciary duties. To this end, in order to align the interests to a broader range of domestic and global investors, we have obtained the investment management license from the Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan in May 2021 and, moreover, changed the capital structure through a management buyout (MBO).
The NFHK management team newly established New Frontier Capital Co., Ltd. (CEO: Shigeki Usuki, Headquarters: Kanda Jinbocho, Tokyo) (“NF Capital”) and purchased all of the common shares held by an existing shareholder, New Frontier Capital Management Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kasumigaseki, Tokyo). On March 31, 2022, the NFHK management team successfully completed the MBO by substantively holding all common shares of NFHK.
The companies operating under NF Capital has been renamed. The current capital structure of NF Capital is as follows:
Despite an increasingly complex global market environment, the newly reborn “New Frontier Capital Group” will strive to make all efforts to meet investor needs, an idea which remains and will always remain since the inception of NFHK in 2011.
